SA: Body in barrels victim mutilated and beheaded, court told

A court in Adelaide has been told the men accused in the bodies in the barrels murdercase cut the arms from one of their alleged victims before beheading her.

JAMES SPYRIDON VLASSAKIS, who's been jailed for life for his role in four of the murders,has told the South Australian Supreme Court he was originally told by JOHN JUSTIN BUNTINGthat SUZANNE ALLEN died of a heart attack.

But VLASSAKIS said BUNTING and co-accused ROBERT JOE WAGNER told him later they hadcut off Ms ALLEN's arms and breasts, and then her head.

BUNTING has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of murder and WAGNER has pleaded not guiltyto eight counts of murder.

WAGNER has previously pleaded guilty to three other counts of murder.

The charges relate to the discovery of eight bodies found in plastic barrels in a disusedbank at Snowtown, north of Adelaide, two bodies found buried in an Adelaide backyard andtwo found elsewhere.

The trial is continuing.
